Eligibility for this scholarship extends to full-time nursing students at both the undergraduate and graduate level who are enrolled in a state-accredited program in either California or Nevada. Applicants must have at least one year of their education remaining.

CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION:

Applicants are required to demonstrate financial need and also:

  1. Present evidence of U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status/alien registration, with no federal judgements, liens, service commitments, or overdue federal debts
  2. Submit proof of enrollment in a state-accredited undergraduate or graduate nursing program in California or Nevada
  3. Be enrolled for the 2025-2026 academic year, with at least one year of schooling left
  4. Provide official school transcripts
  5. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher
  6. Submit two (2) letters of recommendation from nursing school professors/instructors

APPLICATION TIMELINE:

The application window opens on September 1, 2025, and closes at 11.59 PM on November 30, 2025.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS AND CONDITIONS:

  1. A single $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to one (1) student in California and one (1) student in Nevada each academic year.
  2. The scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient's school and applied to their student account. The scholarship is intended to cover costs such as tuition, academic fees, books, supplies, and necessary equipment for the recipient's education.
  3. Recipients are expected to give back to the nursing community and the Bonnie Fang Foundation (BFF) by serving as student ambassadors through volunteer work.
  4. The BFF does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, sexual orientation, age, or disability status. All applications will be evaluated based on the merit of the submitted materials.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

  1. Begin your scholarship application online.
  2. Ensure you read and follow all instructions and question prompts carefully. Incomplete or incorrect forms could lead to disqualification.
  3. All applicants must read and agree to the release form. By ticking this box, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of our release form.
  4. All applications will be assessed by the scholarship committee.
  5. Applicants who progress to the next stage will be informed during the first week of January 2026.
  6. Those advancing to the next stage will be required to submit further materials.
  7. Successful scholarship recipients for the 2025-2026 academic year will be notified by the end of February via email or phone.
