Kansas Promise Act Scholarship

Introduction
The Kansas Promise Act Scholarship, established by the Kansas Legislature, helps students enrolled in certain workforce-focused programs at eligible Kansas institutions. It targets students pursuing designated high-wage, high-demand, or critical-need industry programs offered at Kansas community colleges, technical colleges, the Washburn Institute of Technology, and select private postsecondary schools.
Who it covers
This scholarship applies only to two-year degree and certificate programs; bachelor’s degree programs are not eligible. Recipients must agree to reside and be employed in Kansas for two consecutive years after completing their program as a condition of receiving aid.

- Summer 2025: application period — closed
- Fall 2025: application deadline — October 1, 2025
- Spring 2026: application deadline — March 1, 2026

Awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. If available funding is depleted before the listed deadlines, the application process may close earlier.
